For the Labor Day Holiday Weekend, we will be operating the following hours:

Friday and Saturday; normal business hours as stated below with meal service.

Closed on Monday (Labor Day) and Tuesday.

Wednesday: Normal Business Hours (except no meals served Wed. or Thursday)

Our normal business hours are 9:00 a.m. to 4 p.m. (Central Time), 7 days per week. We have our famous "Midpoint Ugly" pie offered 7 days per week during this time period.

Lunch is now only being served on Friday through Monday, between the hours of 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.  We no longer offer breakfast service, just miscellaneous baked goods and our famous Midpoint Ugly Pie.  Our lunch menu includes our delicious all fresh, never frozen certified angus beef burgers, fried bologna sandwiches, BLT's, grilled ham and cheese, all beef 1/4 pound hot dogs, and several other great sadwiches. All meals include a choice of side consisting of potato chips, potato salad, cole slaw, or apple sauce.  But whatever you decide to eat, save room for our PIE!!!

Please note that if you are traveling east from New Mexico, the time changes at the NM / TX state line (we are one hour ahead of NM).

Welcome to the offical webpage of the MidPoint Cafe and Gift Shop.  We are located at the traditionally accepted halfway point of Historic Route 66, the midpoint between Chicago and Santa Monica. Accross the street from the cafe is the "Welcome To The Midpoint" sign, one of the top photographed signs along Route 66. We are also the ONLY place on Route 66 to get Midpoint RT66 Gifts and Souvenirs, so please stop in and see our gift shop inside the cafe.  We have been told by many visitors that the MidPoint Cafe and Gift Shop has one of the best gift shops along all of Route 66.  Come see for yourself!!!

Through the end of June, we have had folks from 55 countries visit the Midpoint Cafe and Gift Shop since April 13th when we reopened for the 2017 season.

In the 2016 season, we have had folks from 78 international countries and all 50 States visit, while in our 2015 season, we had visitors from 80 countries stop by the Midpoint Cafe and Gift Shop. We routinely provided an updated list of those Countries represented on our Facebook page (link provided below).

Home of the MidPoint "Ugly" Pies!

"Nothing Real Ugly, Just Real Yummy!!!

Completely homemade and one of the best pie crusts you'll ever taste. We try to have at least eight (8) different flavored pies available each day, from fruit pies like apple, peach, or cherry, to our cream pies, including coconut, chocolate, and peanut butter/chocolate cream. We also served Chocolate "Elvis" Cream Pie (chocolate cream with peanut butter and banana), banana cream pie, lemon cream, and several vanilla / fruit swirl pies.

We also do a fanatstic and delicious "Texas Pecan" pie, a chocolate chip and pecan cookie pie (which when warmed, tastes like a large chocolate chip cookie straight out of the oven), and our house specialty... Tennessee whiskey chocolate pecan pie. New for 2017...bourbon spiced apple struesel pie and apple moonshine chess pie.

We try to have least 5 pie flavors that are standard every day, (coconut cream, chocolate cream, "Elvis" (peanut butter and banana in choclate cream, traditional apple, Texas Pecan, and our exclusive TN Whiskey Chocolate Pecan being our daily staples) and another 2 to 4 flavors (minimum) changing every few days.

So stop by and try a slice! Maybe top it off with a scoop of vanilla bean, choclate, or cookies & cream ice cream...YUMMY!!!

Our normal business hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., 7 days per week. Please remember that we are on Central Time, so if you are travelling east from New Mexico, you change time (lose an hour) at the New Mexico / Texas state line. So please plan accordingly.

We are open April 15 through the end of October. We are normally be closed November through the end of March (the winter months)...
