Dennis and Donna purchased the Midpoint Cafe and Gift Shop in early March of 2012 and two weeks later, re-opened under new Ownership on March 22, 2012. With an emphasis on quality food at reasonable prices, and an eye towards cleanliness, the Midpoint Cafe has increased business each year since first purchased.
Dennis now bakes the famous Midpoint Ugly Pies, and with the help of Momma Sandi Adams (she prepares most of the creams for the cream pies), the number of fresh made pies has increased. In 2015, a little over 800 pies were made at the cafe. So far in 2016 (through June 25th), we have prepared 370 pies already and we are only now entering the busy season!!!
In May of 2016, our daughter Danielle moved from Middle Tennessee to Amarillo and now works full time at the cafe. So come by and see Dennis and Danielle. Donna is here at the cafe part time.
New for 2016, we have just replaced the front concrete stoop with one that is one that is ADA compliant. Further changes will be occuring at the front door to provide a covered area when entering the front door of the cafe. Also, we have recently poured a large concrete pad on the west side of the gift shop. We plan to intially cover this are to provide an outdoor covered table seating area. However, we also planned to expand the size of the gift shop and then move the seating area to the front side of the cafe, simialr to the sidewalk seating areas at older European Cafes.
So follow our Facebook page (Midpoint Cafe and Gift Shop) and follow all the changes occuring in 2016 and the future!!
